Let’s meet at 4 pm on the stairs of the Cosmopolitan Hotel. From there we can wander the square, viewing the altars that will be located throughout the historic streets of Old Town. There will be activities including sugar skulls and beautiful folklorico dancers. Many people dress in the Catrina-inspired attire and makeup; from classic to modern designs.
The event starts at 11 am and runs to 9 pm so plan on staying as long as you want. Bring your camera with a fast 50mm or a 24 – 70mm or equivalent lens. As the sun goes down, it will be low light so bring a flash if you plan to stay into the evening. Bring a sweatshirt or light jacket for a cool evening.
