About Will
I turned my hobby into a vocation in 1979. By the next year, I had opened my own commercial studio in San Marcos. When I closed the studio 20 years later, I had a full wet lab for film and printing and became a one-stop shop for digital pre-press, including drum scanning. After a three-year sojourn to Ohio, where I traveled the art fair circuit, I returned to California. I became a photo teacher at Palomar College and UCSD Extension and continued my personal work in a wide range of techniques and styles. I currently show my work in Studio 3, 317 E Grand Ave in Escondido, and teach tintype workshops at the Photographer’s Eye across the street.

About Dave
Raised with a pack of dogs in the forest somewhere in the Northeast, award-winning photographer Dave Veit has owned a camera since 1979. After college, including a year studying art and photography in Kyoto, Japan, and 15 years in corporate America, Dave began to combine his passions as an “Environmental Dog Photographer”, leveraging positive reinforcement-based dog training principles, his inborn dog whispering ability and his artistic vision, to “beautifully and whimsically capture the personalities of dogs doing what they love to do”. In recent years Dave has broadened his commercial offering to include portraiture (for other pet species, but) mainly for humans, be it environmental, executive, boudoir, family, fine art, or lifestyle portraiture. To enrich his own soul, in his spare time, he enjoys landscape photography, chasing sunsets, camping, and often all of the above, all at the same time.
Dave lives in San Diego, where he is a solopreneur and manager of David Veit Photography since 2009. A seasoned world traveler and linguist, Dave is available for commissions globally. Please contact him through his website to book a session.
