Darkroomers Monthly Meeting @ Photographic Arts Building
May 31 @ 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm
Darkroomers Monthly Meeting @ Photographic Arts Building | San Diego | California | United States

The USA will be witness to a total solar eclipse on August 21st of this year. For the very best shots, travel to the area of totality (a partial eclipse will still be visible and fun to shoot here in San Diego). But don’t even try to photograph this without attending Les and Mary Anderson’s “Shooting the Solar Eclipse” presentation. They will teach you everything you need to know to get the best shots and keep your eyes and lenses safe.

Les and Mary Anderson are veterans of 15 solar eclipses since 1979, travelling the world to see them. This year it is in our backyard. They will explain how to view the eclipse safely, and photograph the event. This presentation is geared to both those staying in San Diego, where the partial eclipse is ~65%, and those who choose to travel to totality for 100%. Beware, after this presentation, you may decide to travel to totality! A handout will be provided with websites and pertinent information. There is no excuse to miss this event on August 21!
