Private Event

This is a special Friday August 12 shoot with a Saturday August 13 workshop in the PAB. Space is limited in this workshop so you must attend the shoot on Friday to attend the workshop on Saturday. The Saturday workshop will be led by Photoshop Expert, Stephen Burns.

Join us for our Monthly Critique Night. Members bring in prints for critique. Those prints accepted by the Judge will hang for up to 2 months in our member gallery.

August 19th is a Friday, it is World Photo Day and the Moon will be full. Well it will 96% full and waning. So a Blue Hour Full Moon Shoot for the Darkroomers is a must. We did a full moon rising over Downtown shoot in July 2013 with the moon at apogee (8.7% larger) and the east end of Harbor Island facing Downtown will be a pretty good view of the moon over downtown once again according to TPE. Moonrise is at 8:32pm but it doesn’t clear the buildings until about 9:30 so we can get some Golden Hour, Blue Hour and Moonrise photos then be in bed before the 10:00 news…

Park on the street near Island Prime we can shoot from the sidewalk facing downtown. Sunset is at 7:30pm so you will need to get there about 6 to catch the Golden hour light.
